Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Content-Gen, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality digital solutions tailored to your business needs. To ensure clarity and maintain our professional standards, please review our policy regarding refunds, cancellations, and project revisions below.

1. General Refund Policy

Due to the custom and digital nature of our services (Website Design, SEO, Content Writing, Software Development) and the immediate costs incurred in setting up your project, we do not offer refunds once work has commenced.

Unlike physical goods, the time, expertise, and software costs invested by our team cannot be "returned." By making a payment, you acknowledge that you are paying for the time and creative effort expended, not just the final deliverable.

2. Definition of "Commencement"

A project is deemed to have "commenced" and the deposit/payment becomes non-refundable when any of the following occur:

• An onboarding consultation has taken place.

• We have begun keyword research, strategy planning, or competitor analysis.

• We have set up a development environment, hosting, or installed software/themes.

• A first draft or prototype has been submitted to you.

3. Revisions & Quality Assurance

We are committed to your satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the work delivered, we do not offer a refund, but we do offer revisions.

• Standard Packages: Include a set number of revision rounds (as specified in your plan description).

• Custom Projects: Include revisions as agreed upon in the project scope.

• Procedure: Feedback must be provided clearly in writing. We will work with you to adjust the design, copy, or code until it meets the original project brief.

4. Project Specific Policies

A. Website Design & Custom Development

• Deposits: The 50% deposit required to book your slot in our development schedule is strictly non-refundable. This secures our resources and turns away other potential work.

• Cancellation: If you cancel the project after the design phase has begun but before completion, you are not liable for the final balance, but the deposit will be retained to cover work done to date.

B. Monthly Retainers (SEO, Social Media, Marketing)

• Cancellation Notice: Monthly services operate on a month-to-month basis. You may cancel at any time; however, we require 30 days' notice to stop the next billing cycle.

• No Partial Refunds: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for the current month if you choose to stop services mid-month. Work continues until the end of the billing period.

C. Digital Products (E-books, Templates)

• All sales of downloadable digital products are final and non-refundable immediately upon purchase.

5. Project Dormancy (Ghosting)

Successful projects require client input. If we request content, feedback, or approval and do not hear from you for 30 consecutive days, the project will be marked as "Dormant."

• To reactivate a dormant project, a 15% re-engagement fee may be applied to cover the administrative cost of rescheduling resources.

• If a project remains dormant for 90 days, it may be cancelled by Content-Gen with no refund of monies paid.

6. Agency Cancellation

In the unlikely event that Content-Gen is unable to deliver the agreed-upon services due to our own internal constraints, you will be entitled to a full refund of any payments made for undelivered work.
